Popular comedian and actor, Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng known widely as Funny Face has descended heavily on Accra FM’s Nana Romeo for what the comedian described as a “stupid question” posed by the presenter.
In an interview on his “Ayekoo Ayekoo” Show on Accra FM on Thursday, Nana Romeo inquired from the “Children’s President” whether former Arsenal and Man City striker, Emmanuel Sheyi Adebayor was his gay partner.
“I want you to clear the speculation about you, people are saying Adebayor was your gay partner, how true is that and have you heard it before?”, Nana Romeo asked.
The question didn’t go down well with Funny Face and he didnt mince words about it. He denied ever being in any sexual relationship with the football star and went ahead to say few words to the presenter.
“In fact, if you are a radio presenter who asks such funny questions, in all honesty, you are very unwise. You are in showbiz and people say things to tarnish others’ image but for you to ask this same question, you are really not intelligent”, Funny Face noted in pidgin.
Nana Romeo has a knack for asking unintelligent questions on his show. In June, he was equally disgraced by GhOne’s Nana Aba Anamoah for asking the celebrated broadcaster whether she would have love to date Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie if he wasn’t married. Like Funny Face, Nana Aba also didn’t let the opportunity to chastise the presenter pass.

Radio and TV in Ghana and across the world have survived over the years because of the consistent addition of fresh talents who take over from the already established ones. It is therefore refreshing to notice on Friday that GHOne is taking deliberate steps to hone the talents of the next generation of newscasters and TV personalities.
Currently at the Accra-based TV Station are two interns, Amanda Edinam Ahiadormey, an LLB student of the University of Ghana and Theophiline Emefa Dzakpasu, a student of Communication Studies at the Ghana Institute of Journalism. On Friday, the two students were exposed to how it feels to read the News with cameras all over, in a mock session.
Both Edinam 19 and Emefa 21 excelled at the session. Of course, there was a room for improvement. For instance, Emefa kept looking at the script of Edinam, something rarely done in a live-news presentation. Again, it was obvious to notice that the girls could have done exceptional if they were a little more confident.
These notwithstanding, the girls did great and if they take up this profession, the sky will be their limits in the next few years to come.
Ghana’s next generation of newscasters are being born at GHOne TV and it is very exciting.
Below is the video of the mock news originally posted by celebrated GHOne newscaster, Nana Aba Anamoah on her Instagram page.
How did you think the girls perform? Please use the comment section below and share your opinion with us.
Popular TV Personality Nana Ama Anamoah was one of the numerous Ghanaian football fans who were so sure that the Ghana Black Stars will overcome their Tunisian counterparts into the quarter-finals of the ongoing African Cups of Nations in Egypt.
Hours before the game, the GhOne broadcaster posted a video of herself on her instagram page confidently waving the beautiful Ghana flag. In the video, Nana Aba was heard saying unequivocally that the Black Stars will easily see off the Carthage Eagles.
However, at the end of the day, the Ghanaians lost painfully to the North Africans, leaving their numerous fans, including Nana Ama in pain and anguish.
Ghana was hoping to end a 37 year wait for AFCON glory, but as it stands now, the football-crazy nation has to wait for more years to achieve that dream.
