Like they have been doing ahead of the Football Transfer deadlines for sometime now, Joy Sports will be having the 2019 summer “Transfer Countdown” show on Thursday, the 8th.
The show is meant to give followers of Joy Sports an insight into business done by the various top European teams during the current transfer window, with eyes on the last minute movements of players, with focus on Ghanaian and African players.
The “Transfer Countdown” show will be hosted by Gary Al-Smith and George Addo Jnr and it will air on the Joy News channel (DStv 421), Joy 99.7 FM, and will stream on myjoyonline.com from 3 to 6 pm (GMT).
Ahead of the three hour show, Joy Sports has released an official promotional video to wet the appetite of its patrons. The video, shot at the Sphinx and Giza Pyramids features Joy Sports Team’s poster presenters, the ever-articulate Gary Al-Smith and the unassuming yet witty George Addo Jnr.
The Joy Sports branded costume, the settings and the light manner in which the presenters went about their acts gave the video a very special feel and an exciting to watch.

Joy FM’s celebrated Sports Presenter, Gary Al-Smith has called on Ghanaians to boycott the Presidential and Parliamentary Elections slated for December 2020. His call comes after it was reported in the media that the government of Ghana is planning to build a new Parliamentary chamber at a cost of $200 million, a decision that has so far attracted widespread discontent among Ghanaians.
Writing on his Facebook page, Gary explained that both the ruling government and the main opposition Party are the same and the best alternative will be for Ghanaians to boycott the impending Polls.
“The best thing to do is NOT to vote next year. Both of them, the umbrella and the elephant are just there for themselves” he stated.
The elephant is the official symbol of the ruling NPP and the main opposition Party, the NDC uses the umbrella as its logo.
