Heroes: Citi TV to honour Ghanaian Front-line Health Workers

May 1st is celebrated across the World as the International Workers’ Day. It is a day specially set aside to honour workers around the globe. And it the face of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, frontline workers who have dedicated their lives to ensure the well-being of all need to be celebrated. In Ghana, Citi Tv is doing just that!

The Adabraka-based Tv Station is organizing a virtual concert, dubbed “Rally Round the Flag” in honour of Ghanaian front-line health workers for their commitment, bravery and selflessness in serving the country during these tough times.


“We just thought that since May 1 is workers day, we should put a little concert together for them,” Jessica Opare Saforo, Head of Programmes at Citi TV said in relation to the concert.

The event is billed to feature some celebrated Ghanaian artistes inluding the Tagoe Sisters, Joe Mettle, Kwabena Kwabena, Fameye among others.
